Circom finances much of the annual training programme from the subscription income of its member-stations. But it also relies a great deal on support from The Council of Europe, Directorate of Youth and Sport which regularly co-finances workshops for Youth Programmes Producers and in democratic journalism.

Circom Regional training supported by the latest version of Avid Xpress Pro HD software

The next generation of Circom training has arrived. Circom Regional training will be supported by the latest version of Avid Xpress  Pro HD software loaded on powerful PC laptops. This allows greater flexibility during the editing process and will introduce trainees to non-linear editing which is being installed in newsrooms across Europe. The Avid Xpress Pro HD software provides ease of use with the ability for more creative applications within the laptop. Circom Training is delighted to be able to use this facility and expect an increase in enquiries and requests for training places from member stations.

Karol Cioma, Circom Training's Project Manager says "We decided to change our approach to training and we want our courses to reflect the recent trends in the broadcast industry. We have also learnt from our past delegates that they would like a more hands-on approach to television journalism, including filming and editing.  That is why we are providing equipment and systems that is similar to that which is being used in newsrooms across Europe.
