Call for Applications
For
Television Journalism Training
Bilbao, Spain May 1st – May 13th 2007

Applications are invited from:

- Employees of Circom member stations
- Young journalists starting their careers
- Experienced journalists who wish to refresh their knowledge
- Directors, producers, camera operators, editors etc. who wish to learn journalism skills
- The training is conducted in English with support from French and German trainers
- Training and accommodation provided by Circom Regional
- All travel expenses are the responsibility of the member stations.
- All delegates must have travel, accident and sickness insurance
- All applications must be approved and processed by the Circom  National Co-ordinator for your country

2007 Journalism Training seminar is to be held in Bilbao, Spain from Tuesday May 1st (arrival date) to Sunday May 13th (departure date).

There are only 18 places available for this training seminar and places are likely to be taken up quickly.  The training is free of charge and Circom are able to provide accommodation with breakfast, all other meals and travel to and from Bilbao will be the responsibility of the sponsoring stations.

To remind you of the criteria for the selection process: you may send as many applications as you wish but selection is made by admitting at least one delegate from each country that applies.  (If there are applications from 18 countries then we will take one delegate from each country).  If there are a lesser number of countries than places, the invitations will be extended, at the discretion of the Executive Committee, based on need for training and previous involvement in training workshops.

Please note that all delegates must have adequate travel, accident and sickness insurance.  Any cancellations within two weeks of the beginning of the training may incur a charge to the station if the place cannot be filled.  The deadline for applications is March 25th 2007
