Meeting of the EC was held in Liège last week, on October 4 th 2003.
On behalf of the EC Members and of the CR Secretariat I would like to thank Pierre Couchard and his colleagues for the perfect organisation of the meeting and, of course, for the pleasant companionship.
Since several very important activities are ahead of us, one of them being the European Board Meeting, I would like to draw your attention to the following:

1. from November 17 th to 22 nd 2003, the Newsroom Management Training in Strasbourg Hubert Schilling, DSG, has prepared the programme of the Training. As we do hope to get the financial help from the Council of Europe, the National Coordinators of Monte Negro, Macedonia , Bulgaria are particularly asked to send their representatives to the Training.

2.from November 18 th to 20 th 2003, Study Visit for News Editors in Brussels Committee of the Regions is organising this Study Visit for News Editors. The number of applicants is full and soon the detailed plan will be sent to the participants.

3. EC and EB meetings in Wroclaw
Due to my obligations in the EBU, the meetings of the EC and EB had to be changed, but I hope, we have found a compromising solution.
EC Meeting will be held on Saturday, November 29 th, 2003.
EB Meeting will be held on Sunday, November 30 th , 2003. The meeting will start at 9:30 and will end at 16:00 approximately.

4. Annual Conference 2004
Piotr Borys and Sylvia Meklis-Gorzkovicz have made the basic plan of the Annual Conference. It will be held from May 27 th through May 29 th 2004 in Wroclaw.
The EC and EB meetings will be on May 26 th , 2004.
Meeting of the Group for preparation for the Annual Conference theme (Piotr Borys, Tim Johnson, Gerry Reynolds, Anita Bhalla, Rick Thompson, David Lowen) will be on Saturday, November 29 th 2003 in the morning.

5. Prix Circom
At the kind invitation of TG4, the Judging will be held in Galway . If you want to suggest a judge for the PC Jury, please contact David Lowen.

6. Coproductions: The Last Straightline and Teenage Europe, thanks to the Executive Producers Tim Johnson and Peter Sauer, are being realised very well. However, if you are not already participating actively in these coproductions, do contact the Executive Producers. Apart from getting quality programmes, one gets a financial recompense, too.
Further more, CR has got two new coproductions: “Frontrunners, Regions without Borders” and “Families of Europe, Living the Enlargement”.

7. At the end, regrettably, a sad news. CR has lost forever its two members.
