Short description

Draw Me A Story is a television programme whose inspired format shows children how stories are illustrated. It is aimed at children between 4 and 12 years of age and each programme lasts about 7 minutes. Its originality lies in the way the story is presented: an off-screen narrator tells a specially-adapted version of a popular story as the artist creates the illustrations. The illustration process and narration are cleverly accompanied by music which was specially written for each story. The programme focuses as much on the illustration methods and materials as on depicting the story. The aim is to enable children to create their own illustrations for their own personal interpretation of the story.
The story themes include: traditional stories, Christmas stories, horror tales and one set which includes stories from around the world.
Draw Me A Storie can be an indispensable teaching aid both in schools an in the home.
