CURRENT Coproductions: KOWALSKI MEETS SCHMIDT

Short Description

In January 1993, the German-Polish journal became part of the ORB tv programmes as „Kowalski & Co“. Since April 1995 it has been produced in cooperation with the Polish Television TVP under the present title Kowalski meets Schmidt. Initially the regional station TVP Wroclaw was partner in the co-production, later TVP Szczecin joined in.

„Kowalski meets Schmidt“ looks at every day life situations in both countries. Subjects from all fields are taken up : culture, politics, science and social affairs, such as the discussions in Poland and Germany on the adhesion of Poland to the European Union.

It is broadcasted fortnightly and the audience rates are very good in both countries.
