CURRENT Coproductions: EURO 3

Short Description

Created as a typical cross border program in 1986, Euro 3 moved since 1994 in a current affairs magazine between France, Belgium and England, being cross border as well as an angle for reports. The topics chosen are most of the time of society interest, with a strong human approach, covering what is called the „Eurorégion Nord“ (regions of Nord Pas-de-Calais, Wallonia, Brussels-Capital, Flanders and Kent).

Produced by France 3 Nord Pas de Calais-Picardie, the magazine is composed of the following parts :

„Euro Zapping : the best pictures from Euro 3 regional TV’s partners (RTBF Charleroi and Meridian Broadcasting Maidstone) ;
3 or 4 stories already aired by these partners and re-exposed trough the particular angle of France 3
a 13-minute piece made by France 3

Latest development

Euro 3 won the PRIX CIRCOM Regional in the cross-border category in 1999, 2000 and 2001 and is an example how to make a good cross border programme. The prize winner programme 2001 was about Refugees in Sangatte.
