CURRENT Coproductions: ALICE
Short Description
ALICE was created on the initiative of France 3 Sud and is a multilingual
and cultural European magazine, attempting to inform European audiences
on cultural and artistic trends. ALICE is co-produced and broadcast
18 times /year (2xmonth).
Each participating TV company provides between 4 and 10 reports
and takes part in editorial committee meetings. France 3 Sud is
in charge of the post production of the magazine ; it also supplies
the various subtitled versions.
The new formula of 2 monthly thematic items of 27’ was launched
in September 96. The two first magazines were on ”Night in Europe”
and ”Photographic Memory”. Since January 97, ALICE has been transmitted
on Europe by Satellite. In December 97 transmission of ALICE no
100 took place.

Latest Development
After more than 12 years of production, the producers of ALICE
have been looking for a new concept but no common agreement has
been reached for the moment.
