CURRENT Coproductions: MEDITERRANEO

Short Description

Mediterraneo has been the first weekly magazine on the Mediterranean region created in 1994. It is dealing with the Mediterranean as a geo-political space and intends to cover all kinds of cultural and economical problems of both the Mediterranean area and other crossborder regions. This magazine was inítiated by the RAI in the framework of the CMCA (Centre Méditerranéen de la Communication Audiovisuelle) and proposed to all Mediterranean stations.

Three stations are co-producing the magazine : France 3, RAI and RTV Valencia. And other stations are regularly joining the group like ENTV Algérie, ET1 Greece, JRTV Jordania, PBC Palestine, TVR Romania, TSI Switzerland and TV5 Europe.

As the coproduction between the stations is very successful, the magazine may be enlarged by more tv stations along the Mediterranean regions in order to fullfill the objective of being „the magazine of the whole Mediterranean space“

Format

Weekly magazine of a length of 26 min with 4 items of about 5 to 6 minutes

Latest development

RAI has enlarged the project by creating in March 2001 RAI Med on Satellite 3. Every kind of cooperation with any partner is welcomed.
